Excessive Heat Warning issued June 7 at 1:41PM PDT until June 7 at 9:00PM PDT by NWS San Diego CA* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures of 98 to102.* WHERE...Apple and Lucerne Valleys.* WHEN...Until 9 PM PDT this evening.* IMPACTS...Extreme heat will significantly increase thepotential for heat related illnesses, particularly for thoseworking or participating in outdoor activities.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay outof the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Youngchildren and pets should never be left unattended in vehiclesunder any circumstances. This is especially true during warm orhot weather when car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in amatter of minutes.Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. Whenpossible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning orevening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heatstroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing whenpossible and drink plenty of water.
