Request to limit driving gas and diesel-powered vehicles is now in effect until midnight, Monday night,June 17, 2024. Ozone concentrations are expected to reach levelsthat are Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups on Monday. The highestconcentrations are most likely in the southwestern and westernportions of the Denver Metro area, from Chatfield State Parknorthward through Golden. Cooler temperatures and breezy winds areexpected to keep ozone in the Good to Moderate range on Tuesday.For areas included in this advisory that are not expected to reachthe Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG) air quality designation,we request that activities, such as driving non-ZEV vehicles(i.e., gas or diesel), be reduced to lessen the impacts onneighboring air quality. Additional air pollution in this regionmay directly worsen air quality or contribute to precursors whichmay also adversely affect air quality.
