Additional amounts of 2 to 4 inches ofrainfall are forecast through Friday with locally higheramounts possible. Special Weather Statement issued June 14 at 1:35PM EDT by NWS Miami FLAt 134 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were trackingstrong thunderstorms capable of producing a funnel cloud along a lineextending from Miami Gardens to Marlins Park. Movement was northeastat 15 mph.HAZARD...Funnel clouds and winds in excess of 40 mph.SOURCE...Radar indicated.IMPACT...Funnel clouds occasionally touch down and produce tornadoesor waterspouts. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs andblow around unsecured objects.Locations impacted include...Miami, Hialeah, Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, Miramar,Davie, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, South Miami, Surfside, Hallandale,Miami Gardens, Virginia Key, North Miami, North Miami Beach,Aventura, Dania Beach, Miami Lakes, and Sunny Isles Beach.Funnel clouds occasionally touch down and produce tornadoes orwaterspouts. Move indoors and stay away from windows.Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may leadto localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through floodedroadways.Persons participating in outdoor activities should seek sturdyshelter until these storms pass. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expectedover the area.
