In southwest Florida, Coastal CollierCounty, Inland Collier County and Mainland Monroe.* WHEN...Through this evening.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers arepossible.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Rainfall amounts of 8 to 14 inches with isolated amounts upto 20 inches have fallen over portions of South Florida sinceTuesday morning. Additional amounts of 2 to 4 inches ofrainfall are forecast through Friday with locally higheramounts possible. Special Weather Statement issued June 14 at 1:25PM EDT by NWS Miami FLAt 125 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were trackinga strong thunderstorm over Lauderhill, or over Tamarac, movingnortheast at 10 mph.HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph.SOURCE...Radar indicated.IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow aroundunsecured objects.Locations impacted include...Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Pompano Beach, Plantation, Sunrise,Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Tamarac, Margate, Lighthouse Point,Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Lauderhill, Coconut Creek, Oakland Park, NorthLauderdale, Lauderdale Lakes, Parkland, Wilton Manors, HillsboroBeach, and Sea Ranch Lakes.These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow aroundunsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until thestorm passes.Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead tolocalized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through floodedroadways.

Ponding of water in urban or other areas isoccurring or is imminent.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 140 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. This will cause urban and small streamflooding. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected overthe area.
