Flood Advisory issued May 26 at 3:33AM CDT until May 26 at 5:00AM CDT by NWS Topeka KS* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessiverainfall continues.* WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Kansas, includingthe following counties, in east central Kansas, Geary. Innortheast Kansas, Pottawatomie and Riley.* WHEN...Until 500 AM CDT.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 332 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. This will cause urban and small streamflooding. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expectedover the area. This additional rain will result in minorflooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Manhattan, Junction City, Ogden, Grandview Plaza, Milford,Keats and Milford Lake.- This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 295 and 304.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.
