Localized higheramounts up to 5 inches were observed. Another round of veryheavy rain is expected with severe thunderstorms through thisevening. This likely will lead to additional rainfall amountsof 1 to 3 inches, with localized higher amounts possible.This will lead to a heightened flash flooding concern,especially in those areas that already received flooding thismorning. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain havefallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possiblein the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producingflash flooding.SOURCE...Emergency management reported.IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...Owensboro, Providence, Calhoun, Sebree, Livermore, Clay, Dixon,Whitesville, St. Joseph, Beech Grove, Stanley, Masonville,Knottsville, Sacramento, Island, Wheatcroft, Moseleyville andPleasant Ridge.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
