Hydrologic Outlook issued June 1 at 2:34PM MDT by NWS Boise IDESFBOISynopsis: An atmospheric river in the Pacific is bringing abundantmoisture to the region. Storm total rainfall amounts in the Outlookarea range from 1" in valleys to 2" on ridges. Rainfall amountsunderestimate flood potential as snowpack melt will add snow-waterequivalent contributions of around 2".Where: Elkhorn and Wallowa Mountains in Oregon. Adams, Washington,northern Gem, Valley, Boise, and northern Elmore counties in Idaho.When: Rainfall beginning Sunday evening and ending Monday evening.Rain will expand from NW to SE in the first few hours.What: Moderate rainfall leading to rises in creeks, streams, rivers,and lakes. Rainfall could be locally heavy Monday morning and Mondayafternoon/evening as terrain driven storms become more likelyleading to potential for minor flooding.
