Adverse health effectsincrease as air quality deteriorates.Ozone is an air contaminant which can cause breathing difficultiesfor children, older adults, as well as persons with respiratoryproblems. Cooling shelters may need to take your temperature orask questions about how you are feeling.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay outof the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Youngchildren and pets should never be left unattended in vehiclesunder any circumstances.Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside.
