Flood Advisory issued May 23 at 11:45AM EDT until May 23 at 1:15PM EDT by NWS Upton NY* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessiverainfall is expected.* WHERE...A portion of southern Connecticut, including the followingcounties, Middlesex and New London.* WHEN...Until 115 PM EDT.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 1145 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. This will cause urban and small streamflooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen overportions of the area.- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expectedover the area. This additional rain will result in minorflooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Jewett City, Norwich, New London, Colchester, Clinton,Groton, Old Saybrook, Salem, Chester, Mystic, Waterford, EastLyme, Ledyard, Griswold, East Haddam, Haddam, Old Lyme,Lebanon, Westbrook and Killingworth.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
