The greatest chance of seeingwidespread tropical downpours will be Thursday night throughFriday night as the tropical system becomes nearly stationary overthe area.Rainfall totals in the 2 to 5 inch range will be widespreadacross the Quad State before the system gradually weakens towardthe first half of the weekend. The greatest totals are mostlikely to occur across west Kentucky into southeast Missouri. The region has been in drought over the past month, so most of therivers and streams will be able to handle the heavy rainfalltotals.
