A line of thunderstorms is expected to develop this afternoon. Alongside strong wind gusts and torrential downpours, a few tornadoes are possible. Locally higher amounts possible.Discussion:A warm and moist airmass will bring the potential for significant rainfall today. Two rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected with the first occurring early this morning and the second occurring this afternoon through this evening. Areas that receive multiple thunderstorms or prolonged rainfall from slow moving thunderstorms may have the potential to exceed 80 mm locally.At this point, the exact locations for the heaviest rain remains fairly uncertain.
