Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Missouri River at Waverly affecting Lafayette, Carroll and Saline Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Missouri River at Boonville. * WHEN...Until Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Low-lying rural areas along the river flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:04 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 21.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this morning and continue falling to 14.1 feet Saturday evening. - Flood stage is 21.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
