Since this is the firstheat event early in the summer season, many people are not yetacclimated to heat and may be impacted more than normal.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children andpets should never be left unattended in vehicles under anycircumstances.
