Air Quality Alert issued May 26 at 9:08AM MST by NWS Phoenix AZAQAPSRThe Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has issued anOzone High Pollution Advisory for the Phoenix Metro Area for Mondayand Tuesday.This means that forecast weather conditions combined with existingozone levels are expected to result in local maximum 8-hour ozoneconcentrations that pose a health risk. Adverse health effectsincrease as air quality deteriorates.Ozone is an air contaminant which can cause breathing difficultiesfor children, older adults, as well as persons with respiratoryproblems.
