Red Flag Warning issued June 15 at 12:31PM MST until June 17 at 8:00PM MST by NWS Flagstaff AZMST Sat Jun 15 2024/...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM MST /NOON MDT/ TO 8 PMMST /9 PM MDT/ MONDAY DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVEHUMIDITY FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHERN ARIZONA...The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a Red FlagWarning due to strong winds and low relative humidity, which isin effect from 11 AM MST /noon MDT/ to 8 PM MST /9 PM MDT/Monday.* AFFECTED AREA...Locations near Buffalo Pass, Chinle, Eagar-Springerville, Forest Lakes, Ganado, Heber-Overgaard,Holbrook, Kayenta, Saint Johns, Shonto, Snowflake-Taylor,Window Rock and Winslow. This includes portions of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, Coconino National Forest and TontoNational Forest.* WINDS...Southwest 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 7 percent.* IMPACTS...Any fires that start will have the potential torapidly grow in size and intensity before first responders cancontain them.A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditionsare either occurring or are imminent.
