Excessive Heat Warning issued June 6 at 2:00PM PDT until June 7 at 9:00PM PDT by NWS San Diego CA* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 111today, and up to 109 on Friday.* WHERE...Coachella Valley and San Diego County Deserts.* WHEN...Until 9 PM PDT Friday.* IMPACTS...Extreme heat will significantly increase thepotential for heat related illnesses, particularly for thoseworking or participating in outdoor activities.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay outof the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Youngchildren and pets should never be left unattended in vehiclesunder any circumstances. This is especially true during warm orhot weather when car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in amatter of minutes.Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. Whenpossible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning orevening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heatstroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing whenpossible and drink plenty of water.
