Flood Watch issued May 8 at 2:18PM CDT until May 9 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...A portion of western Kentucky, including the followingareas, Ballard, Caldwell, Calloway, Carlisle, Christian,Crittenden, Daviess, Fulton, Graves, Henderson, Hickman, Hopkins,Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken, McLean, Muhlenberg, Todd,Trigg, Union KY and Webster.* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will produceheavy rainfall capable of flooding commonly flood proneareas. These storms will also have a tendency to repeat theirheavy rains over the same areas. Rainfall totals may approach2 to 4 inches in total and could be locally higher in somelocations.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodYou should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible FloodWarnings. Flood Advisory issued May 8 at 9:45PM CDT until May 9 at 12:45AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessiverainfall is expected.* WHERE...A portion of western Kentucky, including the followingcounties, Daviess, Henderson, McLean and Webster.* WHEN...Until 1245 AM CDT.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Water over roadways.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 945 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gaugesindicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will causeurban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch ofrain has fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expectedover the area. This additional rain will result in minorflooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Evansville, Owensboro, Henderson, Mount Vernon, Providence,Calhoun, Sebree, Livermore, Clay, Dixon, Corydon,Whitesville, Robards, Beech Grove, St. Joseph, Stanley,Masonville, Knottsville, Sacramento and Island.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
