Flood Watch issued May 9 at 12:08AM CDT until May 9 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...Portions of western Kentucky, including the followingareas, Caldwell, Calloway, Carlisle, Christian, Crittenden,Daviess, Fulton, Graves, Henderson, Hickman, Hopkins, Lyon,Marshall, McLean, Muhlenberg, Todd, Trigg, Union KY and Websterand southeast Missouri, including the following areas, Mississippiand New Madrid.* WHEN...Until 7 AM CDT this morning.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Numerous thunderstorms will continue to produce heavyrainfall of over an inch an hour as they move east across theregion early this morning. Flood Advisory issued May 9 at 12:30AM CDT until May 9 at 2:15AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessiverainfall continues.* WHERE...A portion of western Kentucky, including the followingcounties, Daviess, Henderson, McLean and Webster.* WHEN...Until 215 AM CDT.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Water over roadways.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 1230 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gaugesindicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will causeurban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches ofrain have fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expectedover the area. This additional rain will result in minorflooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Evansville, Owensboro, Henderson, Mount Vernon, Providence,Calhoun, Sebree, Livermore, Clay, Dixon, Corydon,Whitesville, Robards, Beech Grove, St. Joseph, Stanley,Masonville, Knottsville, Sacramento and Island.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
