Dense Fog Advisory issued June 11 at 11:59PM AKDT until June 12 at 9:00AM AKDT by NWS Anchorage AK * WHAT...Visibility as low as one quarter mile in dense fog. * WHERE...NW Kenai Peninsula and SW Kenai Peninsula, from Soldotna and Nikiski south to Homer. * WHEN...Until 9 AM AKDT Friday. * IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A band of locally dense fog has redeveloped along the western Kenai Peninsula coast. This band of fog has moved over the Sterling Highway from Soldotna and Kenai south to near Homer. The fog will likely persist through mid-morning Friday before dissipating. A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
