Red Flag Warning issued June 16 at 10:10AM PDT until June 18 at 8:00AM PDT by NWS Hanford CA...A RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINSAND WEST HILLS FROM MERCED TO KERN COUNTY THROUGH MORNING THROUGH8 AM PDT TUESDAY MORNING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND VERY LOW RELATIVEHUMIDITY VALUES....Elevated fire weather conditions will continue in the KernCounty mountains and the West Hills from Merced to Kern Countythrough Tuesday morning. Very strong Northwesterly to North windsand relative humidity values of near 10 percent are forecast. Thestrongest winds are anticipated tonight and Monday, withsustained speeds of 25 to 35 mph, with frequent gusts near 55mph.The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a Red FlagWarning, which is in effect until 8 AM PDT Tuesday.* AFFECTED AREA...The West Hills from Merced to Kern County andthe Kern County Mountains from Frazier Park to Tehachapi.* WIND...The strongest winds are forecast tonight and Monday, withsustained northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph, with frequent gustsnear 55 mph.* HUMIDITY...Minimum relative humidity values of 10 to 15 percentwith areas as low as 5 percent through the period.* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.Outdoor burning is not recommended.A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditionsare either occurring now, or will shortly.
