Heat Advisory issued June 19 at 10:41PM PDT until June 24 at 11:00AM PDT by NWS Hanford CA* WHAT...High temperatures of 101 to 108 degrees.* WHERE...A portion of Central California below 2500 ft.* WHEN...From 11 AM Saturday to 11 AM PDT Monday.* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly duringextreme heat.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Little relief is expected from the heatduring the overnight hours on Saturday night into early Sundaymorning. Minimum temperatures in Fresno and Bakersfield willremain in the mid to upper 70's.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments.
