Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 20 at 10:18PM EDT until September 22 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC* WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground level in lowlying areas due to tidal flooding.* WHERE...Shoreline in the District of Columbia, ArlingtonCounty, and the City of Alexandria.* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Sunday, especially around the time ofhigh tide.* IMPACTS...Shoreline inundation is expected along portions of theseawall adjacent to Ohio Drive and the Hains Point Loop Road andnear the Tidal Basin. Water is expected to approach the curbnear the intersection of King Street and Strand Street inAlexandria.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one and a half to two feet abovenormal. The next high tide at Alexandria is at 10:52 PM and11:25 AM. The next high tide at Washington Channel is at 10:34PM and 11:07 AM.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
