Special Weather Statement issued July 17 at 6:25PM MDT by NWS Boise ID At 624 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Mores Creek Summit, or 8 miles south of Lowman, moving northeast at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Areas of blowing dust possible. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of central Boise County. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
