Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 307 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain with rates in excess of 1 inch per hour. Around 1 inch of rain has fallen in portions of the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... South Side of Joliet, Hammond, Gary, Tinley Park, Calumet City, Portage, Merrillville, Chicago Heights, East Chicago, Schererville, Hobart, Lansing, Oak Forest, Crown Point, Harvey, and New Lenox. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring.
