Flood Warning issued June 19 at 11:16AM CDT until June 20 at 12:00PM CDT by NWS Wichita KS* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.* WHERE...A portion of Central Kansas, including the followingcounties, Marion and McPherson.* WHEN...Until noon CDT Thursday.* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lyingand flood-prone locations is occurring. There are numerous roadsin the warned area closed and impassable due to flood waters.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 1112 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing in the warned area.Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 inch is possible in thewarned area.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Mcpherson, Lindsborg, Hillsboro, Marion, Moundridge, Inman,Peabody, Galva, Canton, Florence, Marquette, Goessel, Burns,Lincolnville, Ramona, Lehigh, Windom, Durham, Tampa and LostSprings.Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly twofeet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don'tdrown.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.
