Flood Advisory issued September 22 at 7:07PM EDT until September 22 at 10:00PM EDT by NWS Jackson KY* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.* WHERE...A portion of southeast Kentucky, including the followingcounties, Clay and Knox.* WHEN...Until 1000 PM EDT.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 707 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to beginshortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches ofrain have fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.4 to 0.8 inches are expectedover the area. This additional rain will result in minorflooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Ogle, House, Park Valley, Jonsee, Cottongin, Bluehole,Woollum, Goose Rock, Haven, Botto, Lipps, Brightshade, Fount,Sprule, Plank, Ice Cliff, Tedders and Lincoln.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.
