Coastal Flood Warning issued September 22 at 6:54AM EDT until September 24 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Wakefield VA* WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...Dorchester, Wicomico and Somerset Counties.* WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT Tuesday.* IMPACTS...Widespread flooding of vulnerable areas will resultin an elevated threat of property damage to homes andbusinesses near the waterfront and shoreline. Water will be 1to 2 feet above ground level in some areas resulting in asufficient depth to close numerous roads and threaten homesand businesses. Flooding will extend inland from thewaterfront along tidal rivers and bays resulting in some roadclosures and flooding of vehicles.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Flooding is expected to continue throughTuesday.Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
