Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 21 at 10:43PM EDT until September 22 at 11:00PM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in lowlying areas due to tidal flooding.* WHERE...Shoreline in Calvert County.* WHEN...Until 11 PM EDT Sunday, especially around the time ofhigh tide.* IMPACTS...At 3.0 feet, water is expected to reach backyardsnear 9th Street in North Beach, and could approach 9th Street.At 3.5 feet, yards are flooded near Charles Street andWilliams Street in Solomons. Nearby parking lots and thestreets themselves are covered by more than a half foot ofwater.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one and a half to two feet abovenormal. The next high tide at Chesapeake Beach is at 7:27 AM and8:33 PM. The next high tide at Solomons Island is at 5:44 AM and6:35 PM.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
