Numerous roadsremain closed due to flooding.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 900 PM CDT Tuesday, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain dueto thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to beginshortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 6 inches of rainhave fallen as of 800 pm CDT Tuesday evening.- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possibletonight. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it isharder to recognize the dangers of flooding.Campers and hikers should avoid flooded trail crossings. Trails in hilly terraincan quickly become unstable during or shortly after heavy rainfall.Portage and hiking trails may be impassable and low-lying campsitesmay be inundated with excessive runoff in this section of theBoundary Waters as flooding is occurring or imminent.
