In northeast Minnesota, centraland northern St. Louis County. This includes the Tribal Lands ofthe Bois Forte Band, Nett Lake, Deer Creek and, Lake Vermilionareas. Recreation spots such as Voyageurs National Park. This alsoincludes the Boundary Waters western area.* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Showers and thunderstorms are expected to bring heavy raintoday, with localized areas receiving up to 1 to 3 inches ofrain. This will fall on top of already saturated soils andrivers with normal to above normal streamflow. The heaviestrain is expected early this morning and through the daytoday.- Flood safety information can be found atwww.weather.gov/safety/flood.Portage and hiking trails may become slick and potentiallyimpassable and ponding of water could inundate low-lying campsitesacross the Boundary Waters.

Between 2 and 6 inchesof rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of up to one inchare possible in the warned area by midnight. Flash flooding isalready occurring.HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Multiple roads areclosed or flooded.
