Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments. Thisextends the previous areal flood warnings which were in effect.* WHERE...Portions of northwest Iowa, including the followingcounties, Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Lyon, O'Brien,Osceola and Sioux, southwest Minnesota, including the followingcounties, Jackson, Nobles and Rock, and southeast South Dakota,including the following counties, Clay, Davison, Hanson,Hutchinson, Lincoln, McCook, Minnehaha, Turner and Union.* WHEN...Until 100 PM CDT Tuesday.* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lyingand flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Severalstructures are flooded and some sand bagging operations arecontinuing. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 1257 PM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain inthe warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is alreadyoccurring.
