Tornado Watch issued June 17 at 5:23PM CDT until June 17 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 345 UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING WHICH REPLACES A PORTION OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 343. THE NEW WATCH IS VALID FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN MISSOURI THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 5 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL MISSOURI COOPER HOWARD PETTIS IN WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI BATES HENRY THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ADRIAN, BOONVILLE, BUTLER, CLINTON, FAYETTE, GLASGOW, NEW FRANKLIN, RICH HILL, SEDALIA, AND WINDSOR.

Tornado Warning issued June 17 at 5:57PM CDT until June 17 at 6:30PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO At 557 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Clinton, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include... Calhoun, Coal, Tightwad, and Truman Lake. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
