Tornado Watch issued June 17 at 2:16PM CDT until June 17 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Quad Cities IA IL THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 342 UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING WHICH REPLACES A PORTION OF TORNADO WATCH 340. THE NEW WATCH IS VALID FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN ILLINOIS THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 2 COUNTIES IN WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS HANCOCK MCDONOUGH IN MISSOURI THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 2 COUNTIES IN NORTHEAST MISSOURI CLARK SCOTLAND THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF CARTHAGE, KAHOKA, MACOMB, AND MEMPHIS.

Flood Watch issued June 17 at 10:07AM CDT until June 17 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Quad Cities IA IL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas, Hancock, Henderson, McDonough, Mercer, Rock Island and Warren, Iowa, including the following areas, Cedar, Clinton, Des Moines, Henry IA, Iowa, Jefferson, Johnson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren and Washington, and northeast Missouri, including the following areas, Clark and Scotland. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall, with some seeing repeating rounds of storms though the day. There will be the potential to see around 3 inches or more of rainfall. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Keokuk, Carthage, Hamilton, Warsaw, Augusta, Wayland, Bowen, West Point, Alexandria, Ferris, St. Francisville, Winchester, Plymouth, Denver, Elvaston, Basco, Bentley, Keokuk Airport, Gregory Landing, and Tioga. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for west central Illinois...and northeastern Missouri. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
