Flood Watch issued June 21 at 1:09PM CDT until June 22 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas, Bond IL, Fayette IL, Greene IL, Jersey IL, Macoupin IL, Madison IL and Montgomery IL and east central Missouri, including the following areas, Franklin MO, Saint Charles MO, Saint Louis City MO and Saint Louis MO. * WHEN...Until 1 AM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall moving over the same locations could produce flash flooding. Rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches are expected with locally higher amounts up to 6 inches possible. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Saint Louis County in east central Missouri... Saint Louis City in east central Missouri... * WHEN...Until 500 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 109 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Expect 1 to 3 inches of rain in a short period of time. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... St. Louis, O'Fallon, St. Charles, St. Peters, Florissant, Chesterfield, Wildwood, University City, Ballwin, Wentzville, Kirkwood, Maryland Heights, Hazelwood, Webster Groves, Ferguson, Manchester, Creve Coeur and Overland. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
