Heat Advisory issued June 23 at 10:32AM CDT until June 25 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE* WHAT...Heat index values ranging from 100 to 110 are expected.* WHERE...Portions of southwest and west central Iowa and eastcentral, northeast, and southeast Nebraska.* WHEN...From 1 PM Monday to 7 AM CDT Tuesday.* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heatcramps, heat exhaustion, and even heat stroke.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments. Flood Warning issued June 23 at 11:04AM CDT until July 3 at 4:00AM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers inNebraska...Missouri...Missouri River At Brownville affecting Nemaha and AtchisonCounties.* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Missouri River at Brownville.* WHEN...From Monday afternoon to Wednesday, July 03.* IMPACTS...At 35.0 feet, The parking lot and boat ramp south ofHighway 136 on the Nebraska side are underwater.At 40.0 feet, A hiking trail along the river on the Nebraska sideis likely flooded.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 10:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 30.5 feet...or 3.5 feetbelow flood stage.- Bankfull stage is 33.0 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stagetomorrow afternoon to a crest of 42.8 feet Friday evening. Itwill then fall below flood stage Tuesday, July 02.- Flood stage is 34.0 feet.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
