Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 25 at 5:05AM EDT until September 25 at 5:00PM EDT by NWS Newport/Morehead City NC* WHAT...Up to 1 foot of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...Areas in North Topsail Beach, along the lower NewRiver, White Oak River, Bogue and Core Sounds, and adjacenttidal creeks.* WHEN...Until 5 PM EDT this afternoon.* IMPACTS...Up to 1 foot of inundation above ground level ispossible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterwaysresulting in a low threat of property damage. Some roads and lowlying property including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homesadjacent to the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
