Flood Watch issued June 14 at 10:09AM CDT until June 15 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Concho, Crockett, Irion, Kimble, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, San Saba, Schleicher, Sutton and Tom Green. * WHEN...From 4 PM CDT this afternoon through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms will develop along a slow moving cold front this afternoon and into the overnight hours. The combination of slow moving storms and heavy rainfall will result in flooding, especially in urban and low-lying areas. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches will be common, with pockets of higher amounts in excess of 5 inches possible. Additional scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible Monday, which will continue the flooding threat. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Flood Advisory issued June 14 at 4:00PM CDT until June 14 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following county, Tom Green. * WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 359 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... San Angelo, Lake Nasworthy, O.C. Fisher Reservoir, Goodfellow Air Force Base, San Angelo State Park, Twin Buttes Reservoir and Grape Creek. - This includes the following Low Water Crossings... College Hills and Millbrook, Southwest Blvd and Loop 306, Howard and Webster, Jackson From Knickerbocker to South Bryant, Parkwood and Lindenwood, 1500 Block of Spaulding, Sul Ross At Red Arroyo Crossing, Huntington and Sunset, Huntington and Sunset and 300 block of North Archer. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
