Flood Watch issued June 7 at 4:17AM CDT until June 7 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS Norman OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Oklahoma, including the following counties, Atoka, Bryan, Canadian, Carter, Cleveland, Coal, Comanche, Cotton, Garfield, Garvin, Grady, Hughes, Jefferson, Johnston, Kingfisher, Lincoln, Logan, Love, Marshall, McClain, Murray, Noble, Oklahoma, Payne, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, Seminole and Stephens and northern Texas, including the following counties, Archer, Baylor, Clay and Wichita. * WHEN...Through this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flood Advisory issued June 7 at 6:07AM CDT until June 7 at 9:30AM CDT by NWS Norman OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northern Texas, including the following county, Clay. * WHEN...Until 930 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 606 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Henrietta, Windthorst, Bellevue, Bluegrove, Lake Arrowhead, Newport, Joy, Shannon and Vashti. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
