Flash Flood Warning issued May 4 at 11:45PM CDT until May 5 at 2:45AM CDT by NWS San Angelo TXAt 1140 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producingheavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rainhas fallen from Brownwood and Early southwest to Southern ColemanCounty near Ivie Reservoir. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is alreadyoccurring. Flooding of creeks, streams, low water crossings, andother low lying poor drainage areas is ongoing and will continueinto the early morning hours.HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producingflash flooding.SOURCE...Radar.IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...Brownwood, Brady, Early, Richland Springs, Algerita, Bangs,Blanket, Melvin, Winchell, Mercury, Elm Grove, Brookesmith,Placid, Trickham, Skeeterville, Rochelle, Rockwood, Camp Bowie,Waldrip and Lohn.This includes the following Low Water Crossings...Cordell at Anderson, Gifford at Beaver, Willis at Belmeade, BellePlain at Romines, South Blackburn between Adkins and 13th, GoodShephard at 11th, White Street at Live Oak Creek, 4th Street atWood, Magnolia at Belmeade and Indian Creek at 9th.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
