Flood Watch issued June 6 at 2:44PM CDT until June 7 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Haskell, Jones, Shackelford, Taylor and Throckmorton. * WHEN...Through tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Very heavy rainfall fell over portions of the area overnight, and the potential for additional heavy rainfall will persist through tonight. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Flood Advisory issued June 6 at 3:56PM CDT until June 6 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS San Angelo TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Brown and Coleman. * WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 355 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen on areas that are already saturated from heavy rainfall yesterday. This lead to flooding occurring faster than normal. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Santa Anna, Bangs, Grosvenor, Lake Brownwood Near Thrifty, Lake Brownwood, Burkett, Byrds, Lake Brownwood State Park, Cross Cut, Gouldbusk, Voss, May, Leaday, Thrifty, Shields, Fisk and Mozelle. - This includes the following Low Water Crossings... FM 1176 crossing Sweetie Creek, FM 2273 crossing Rough Branch, County Road 348 crossing Bull Creek, crossings along County Road 302, County Road 258 crossing Home Creek, County Road 441 crossing Bledsoe Branch, County Road 176 crossing east Fork Mukewater Creek, County Road 166 crossing east Fork Mukewater Creek, CR 270 crossing Home Creek and crossings along County Road 171. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
