For the Beach Hazards Statement, dangerousrip currents expected.* WHERE...Accomack and Northampton Counties.* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 10 PM EDT thisevening. For the Beach Hazards Statement, through Thursdayevening.* IMPACTS...Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerablelocations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a lowthreat of property damage. Expect up to one foot of water aboveground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and lowlying property including parking lots, parks and lawns near thewaterfront will experience shallow flooding. Breaking waves of 3to 5 ft will result in rough surf conditions and a high risk ofrip currents.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
