Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 25 at 3:31PM EDT until September 26 at 6:00PM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in lowlying areas due to tidal flooding.* WHERE...Shoreline in the District of Columbia, ArlingtonCounty, and the City of Alexandria.* WHEN...Until 6 PM EDT Thursday, especially around the time ofhigh tide.* IMPACTS...Shoreline inundation is expected along portions of theseawall adjacent to Ohio Drive and the Hains Point Loop Road andnear the Tidal Basin. Water is expected to approach the curbnear the intersection of King Street and Strand Street inAlexandria.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides two to two and a half feet abovenormal. The next high tide at Washington Channel is at 3:23 AMand 4:15 PM. The next high tide at Alexandria is at 3:24 PM and3:41 AM.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
